Mark Boardman, BSc (Hons) – Consultant
Mark has been a tax professional for 28 years starting his career as an HMRC Tax Inspector where he gained a wealth of experience in the tax affairs of individuals, partnerships and companies of all sizes. He became a specialist in investigation work for the Revenue’s Special Compliance Office where he investigated offshore structures and other cross border transactions. During his time there he was also involved in the high profile investigations of the football and rugby world.
Since leaving HMRC Mark has worked for leading professional firms in London and a big 4 firm in Guernsey where he was Head of Direct Tax, advising offshore trustees and high net worth individuals. During his time in Guernsey he worked for the States of Guernsey to help develop the Island’s 0-10 Tax Regime.
With Mark’s unique experience of tax planning seen from “both sides of the fence” he is extremely well placed to advise our clients on tax planning involving offshore structures as well as defending clients against HMRC investigations and enquiries.
