Seamus Murphy BSc ACA, Manager – Private Client Services
Having studied for an Honours degree in Theoretical Physics at Trinity College, Dublin, Seamus joined a “Big 4 firm” in Guernsey in 2004. He worked there for 6 years becoming a Chartered Accountant in 2007. Seamus specialised in advising private clients and their families on tax planning and gained a wide experience of the complexities of offshore trust legislation.
In 2010 Seamus returned to Ireland as Head of UK Tax of a multi–national corporation providing specialist tax return services to private and corporate clients across 100 countries. He developed and led its Dividend Withholding Tax Service for both retail and institutional investors holding cross border equities. During his time there, publications including the Financial Times and Telegraph newspapers, as well as The Institute of Directors sought his comment on the Tax issues hitting the headlines.
In January 2012 Mark Davies & Associates were delighted to welcome Seamus to their team where he advises ultra high and high net worth individuals and non domicilliaries on offshore trust planning and a wide range of tax matters.
